The drivetrain collects an M21 close-ratio four-speed that takes torque from an 11-inch Zoom clutch disc and GM “621” pressure plate. A stock driveshaft carries it to the Posi-traction differential and 3.55:1 ring-and-pinion in the 12-bolt axlehousing. Notice there are no airbags, trick springs, or mega-disc brakes. It posts all the original equipment except for Monroe shock absorbers. Drum brakes all around are artfully downplayed by 14×6 American Racing Torq-Thrusts wrapped in F70-14 Firestone Wide Oval tires.
