This 1967 GT-500 Shelby has everything the serious enthusiast could ask for. It is the perfect balance of classic styling, power, and agility, just as Carol Shelby intended. This 1967 Fastback was originally put together in sunny San Jose, California, and was equipped with a 289ci four-valve V8. The body is in excellent shape, as this is a fresh Rotisserie restoration. The sharp black paint with silver racing stripes is also in superb condition. It has recently undergone paint correction to remove any minor imperfections and road blemishes. A mini tub accompanies the rear to accommodate the Nitto 295/35/18 tires in the rear and 245/40/18 in the front wrapped around ZR wheels.
A lot has changed under the hood of this mustang since 1967; it was completely rebuilt in 2020. Under the hood, you will now find the desirable 2nd generation Ford Coyote 5 liter V8. These engines have become famous for their ability to reliably produce generous amounts of power. With an aluminum block and heads, the engine weighs in at only 445lbs. This Coyote has been upgraded with a Ford Racing Whipple Supercharger kit. The motor has also been fitted with long tube headers, Fuel Lab fuel pressure regulators, and Radium Fuel Rails. This setup allows the Mustang to make 600+ HP with ease!
For as powerful as this Mustang is, it has the handling and stopping power to match. The original suspension has been replaced with a modern performance suspension in all 4 corners. IFS Total Control Suspension kit in the front consisting of tubular upper and lower control arms, and adjustable coil-overs. For the rear, we have a fully adjustable Rod & Custom Coil-over kit. It sports 12” brake rotors with 4 piston Wilwood Dynalite calipers at all corners. All the brake lines are braided stainless steel and the car is equipped with a power brake booster. An Ididit tilt steering column and modern power steering rack also contribute to the modernized driving experience. This combination provides an excellent balance of comfortable and engaging responsive handling.
