This Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 is a beautifully preserved example with an interesting history. Every inch of this car looks good: inside and out, above and below. The yellow paint with black stripes is in impeccable condition. It has recently been expertly corrected to remove any imperfections or road blemishes. Research has revealed that, because this was one of the first 442 produced for the 1970 model year, the yellow paint was a special order by the dealer. Later, this lovely shade received its own Oldsmobile paint code, but this special 442 was painted before that occurred. There are likely very few Oldmobiles that share this interesting bit of history. Like every other aspect of this vehicle, the rare paint is show quality. The vinyl convertible top is also in great condition without cracks or tears. The dual exhaust with the famous trumpet tips are the perfect touches on this incredibly cool ride. Under the hood lies the powerful, numbers matching 455ci V-8 engine, mated to a period correct 4 speed manual transmission. Power runs through a 12 bolt rear end with a W26 aluminum rear axle cover. This vehicle received years of loving care from its previous owner and is in fantastic condition for an original car. The interior is certainly no exception. This is a factory air conditioning car, and it still blows ice cold. The Strato bucket seats and matching console are in astonishingly good condition for being original. The AM/FM radio is equipped with an 8-track player which works, as does every gauge in the cluster. This is a one of a kind Oldsmobile 442 that leaves nothing to be desired.
